Great article by Christian Finn over at Muscle Evo on the ability to build muscle after age 40.
That’s the question posed by one Muscle Evo reader…
“I’m 40 years old and want to get back to building muscle. I’ve been training for five months with very little results compared to when I was 20. Can it realistically be done at my age?
“I also have an old injury that stops me going heavy on squats and deadlifts. Can I build muscle with lighter weights and higher reps with these movements?
“Does your program discuss diet? What to eat and when? Some people suggest that because I’m 40, I will put on fat if I try and eat big to get big?”
There are three parts to this question, so I’ll answer each one in turn.
