Week two is complete and I struggled again this week with only being able to get in 3 days of training. Both my kids have been sick the past couple weeks and I ended up feeling pretty rough myself a few days and thus why I did not train all 5 days.

I like the idea of training more frequently I just think I was being too aggressive going from training a body part once a week to 5 times a week. So I am going to scale things back a bit to 3 times a week. I am also going to vary the intensity and reps taking advantage of daily undulating periodization. I was going to train one day heavy, one day medium and one day light but then decided that mixing things up within the same day would be better.

One thing good out of all this is that I am learning I don’t need to train to failure and hopefully this will lead to better results long term.

I have added a new forum to the website and will be running a training log there as I feel it’s a better way to track and discuss how my training is going so others can follow what I am doing. If you’re interested in doing the same I would love to have you join the forums and run a training log as well.
