After having a really good week two this week has turned into a big disappointment. I had the week off of work and was looking forward to this weeks training. All of this got derailed when I came down with a pretty nasty cold. Monday and Tuesday were a right off but I was feeling much better Wednesday and went in and got my upper strength training session in and I was really happy with how it went.
Funny thing is when I got to the gym I realized I had forgotten my binder where I keep a print out of my training log. I remembered that I had used google sheets to create my training log for 4 weeks and because of that I was actually able to not only look it up but update it using my phone! So I might just use that method from now on, my only concern is that taking my phone on the training floor everyday increases the chance that a weight gets dropped on it by mistake.
Following Wednesday my cold took a turn for the worse and moved to my chest, any kind of exertion causes me to cough like crazy. Its also been hard to get a decent nights sleep as the coughing seems to be even worse, in any event the week has been a bust. I am just going to start over and complete week’s three training for this upcoming week. Everyone is going to have struggles and setbacks in starting a training program the key is to not get discouraged and to keep going. This is a marathon not a sprint and true success comes by finding ways to continue in the face of adversity.
