Well yesterday was the big day, my first bodybuilding competition. I came in 2nd place in the Men’s Novice Bodybuilding – Heavyweights and I am thrilled to death to say the least. 🙂 My goal was to place in the top three so that I can now compete in the open division in any bodybuilding organization from now on. I also placed 2nd in Men’s Masters Bodybuilding which was great as well. All in all a terrific experience and a great foundation to build on. I have a lot of work to do but getting a contest under my belt is a huge first step.
Thanks to Dr. Layne Norton for doing my contest prep and getting me into shape for the contest. I would also like to thank my friend and fellow competitor Brian Babiak for his friendship and help, especially on the day of the contest. That is true sportsmanship and friendship to help someone out you are competing against. I would like to thank my wife Chris for all her help and support especially on contest day as she did a great job on helping with getting my Dream Tan on and just making sure I had everything. Last but not least I would like to thank all my family and friends including the many I have made online and have offered words of encouragement and advice along the way. You guys have no idea how much this has helped me stay focused as I pursed my dream of becoming a bodybuilder. All of you have played a role in yesterdays outcome so thank you from the bottom of my heart! 🙂
