Being a natural bodybuilder and a dad can often be a challenge and I have heard some say even selfish. Instead of spending that time in the gym and focusing on ourselves we should be spending it with our kids. Sorry but I don’t buy that. Working on oneself to be strong and healthy is setting a great example for your kids. Raising children isn’t just about putting in time it’s about teaching them life lessons. Studies have shown that kids raised by overweight parents are more likely to be overweight themselves because it’s what they believe to be normal and acceptable.
As a father we should lead by example and staying in shape and eating healthy is a great way to do that. So for all my fellow bodybuilding dad’s out there Happy Father’s Day and keep setting the example for your kids!
