Vanguard Bodybuilding Celebrates Six Years!

Hard to believe Vanguard Bodybuilding is celebrating six years! It’s been amazing to share my journey with you over that time. From out of shape 46 year old dad to getting in the best shape of my life has been an adventure. Having the opportunity to compete in natural bodybuilding in 2012 and 2014 a dream come true.

There has been over 700 articles posted on the site over the last six years. Articles covering every aspect of evidence based natural bodybuilding. Using the search function or categories section will provide you with a list all of the articles posted on any given subject. All of the articles have been posted from a variety of sources with the goal of helping us all be better bodybuilders.

Thank you to everyone who has followed the site and been supportive of me over the years. Most think bodybuilding is a young mans sport but its been an honor to show you can be competitive even into your 50’s. I appreciate everyone who has reached out in one way or another over the years with words of support. So again thank you from the bottom of my heart it means the world to me!

I would be remiss if I did not mention 3D Muscle Journey. 3DMJ has had the most impact on my success as a natural bodybuilder. They provide a ton of free content and truly love the sport of natural bodybuilding. If you are truly interested in getting the best results I would consider using their coaching services like I do. Please note I do not get anything in return for promoting 3DMJ.

So it’s been a great six years but now what?

Well I am currently focused on beating how I looked in 2014 with the goal of competing again in 2020. As such I will continue to share my journey and my thoughts as I push to be my best yet. You may have noticed I put up a couple pictures in the background on the site from 2014. This is to remind me every time I come here of what my goal is and to stay on track.

Just like I am continuing to improve my physique the goal with the site is to continue to make it better. I recently switched to a new host provider and the site is now noticeably faster. I would still like to create a community of like minded people who love to talk about bodybuilding. If you have ideas or suggestions on what you would like to see or what would make Vanguard Bodybuilding better let me know.  You can email me at [email protected], I would love to hear from you!

  • Congratulations Dean! I appreciate all the time and effort you put in to this site. It is a great inspiration to see someone else in their 50’s with a passion for natural bodybuilding.

    • Hi Larry, glad to hear from you and thanks so much for the encouraging words! A few years back I never would have believed that bodybuilding naturally at our age was even possible and yet here we are having a blast!

  • Hi Deano,

Congratulations on still lifting the iron and on keeping the site going!
As I said before, I don’t always have the time I need or want, to always be able to contribute. But the fact that after six years I’m still dropping in and commenting from time to time means you must be doing something right!
The site has lead me to a wider circle of good information for natural lifters that I may not have found in other ways, so thank you for that and Happy Birthday!
Keep up the good work and good luck with your training.

    • Thanks Graham. You have been with me from the very beginning which I very much appreciate. I may not have a large following but those that do are very loyal.

Thanks again for your support over the last six year!
      Dean
